【ASHIKAGA】 Third-grade elementary school students from Ashikaga City recently visited the Central Fire Station of the Ashikaga Fire Department for a social studies field trip to learn about the work of firefighters.
According to a post on the official Instagram account of the Ashikaga Fire Department (@ashikaga_fire119_tochigi), the students came to the station as part of their third-grade social studies curriculum.
The tour included demonstrations such as observing the donning of fire-resistant suits, a hands-on water discharge experience (operating a fire hose), and a tour of the fire trucks and vehicles. The children enthusiastically engaged with the duties of the fire department. A Q&A corner was also held, providing the children with an opportunity to ask the firefighters questions about their work.
At the end of the tour, the Fire Department also took the opportunity to promote their official Instagram account, stating, “Let’s promote the Ashikaga Fire Department’s official Instagram!” indicating their commitment to continuous information sharing.
The Ashikaga Fire Department’s Instagram shares information on fire prevention, the appeal of the Ashikaga fire service, and event details, communicating their efforts for regional safety.
