Miyagi’s Yui Ishikawa, Mrs of the Year 2025 Japan Finalist, Aims for World Grand Prix with Inspiring Story of Resilience

TOHOKU, MIYAGI — Yui Ishikawa, the representative of Miyagi Prefecture and the Grand Prix winner of the Gorgeous division at the Mrs of the Year 2025 Miyagi Tournament, is set to compete in the Japan Final on November 22nd and 23rd.

Ishikawa’s powerful journey and challenge embody her core motto: “Anyone’s potential is limitless.”
Through her serious dedication to the contest, she aims to prove that “you can become any person you want to be.” She proudly announced her ambition to aim for the world’s best from her home region, Tohoku/Miyagi, which “raised her to this point.”

Her ultimate goal is clearly defined: to place in the Gorgeous division at the Mrs of the Year Japan Final, secure the right to compete in the World Tournament, and ultimately win the TOP Grand Prix with the highest score at the Mrs of the Year WORLD competition.
Ishikawa’s background is a testament to her remarkable personal transformation. Her profile highlights overcoming numerous struggles: failing university entrance exams seven times, experiencing a period as a NEET (Not in Education, Employment, or Training), being a former young caregiver, and identifying as an Adult Child (AC). She achieved independence from her parents in her 30s by successfully becoming a nurse. Additionally, she is a 2024 finalist for the D1 Contest, having achieved a significant weight loss from 82kg to 70kg.

Despite acknowledging that “there are tons of reasons why I can’t do it,” Ishikawa is moving forward with her challenge, hoping to inspire others with her story of resilience.
