Isesaki City Trip Blends Tradition and Local Charm for Beauty Queen

Yoko Kanai, the 2nd place winner of the Kawaii Mokuhana Japan Pageant 2025 and former Miss Ura-gun Grand Prix, recently shared highlights from her enjoyable trip to Isesaki City, Gunma Prefecture.

Kanai, who is also associated with the Mrs. of the Year 2025 Gunma Tournament as a sponsor, spent a day exploring the city, including participating in a tour of the Wagashi (Japanese Confectionery) Street after her morning lessons.
> “I participated in the Wagashi Street and Wagashi tour in Isesaki City,” she wrote, expressing that she was “impressed anew by the intricate detail of the wagashi.”

A planned street walk wearing Isesaki Meisen kimono, a local silk fabric, had to be canceled due to rain, which she noted with regret. However, she mentioned that the event is reportedly being planned again for March of next year, and she is looking forward to taking part then.
She also mentioned purchasing and using a special ticket for a weaving experience with Isesaki Kasuri (a type of Ikat textile), adding to her appreciation for the city.

Kanai concluded by saying that the city stroll and various fun experiences have made her love Isesaki City even more. She also thanked Godo Kaisha Kirisuto for a scarf that was very useful that day, which she treasures as it goes well with any Western-style clothing.
