Mone Yamada has been selected as the representative for Tokushima Prefecture in the Miss Nadeshiko Japan 2025 contest, according to her social media posts.
Yamada, who also runs a personal blog, shared the news on her profile, stating, “Miss Nadeshiko Japan 2025 [Tokushima Prefecture] Representative.” Her account mentions her desire to “bring courage” to people by keeping kimono close and promoting information about kimonos, Tokushima, and welfare.
In a separate post, Yamada announced that she was chosen as the Tokushima Prefecture Representative at the Hiroshima Kimono Collection held on the day of the posting. She also shared a heartfelt message from her acceptance speech: “Thank you for giving confidence to someone who had none.”
She has been documenting her journey on social media with the hashtag, “#The story of me, who was a nobody, becoming someone,” and a recent post refers to “#The story of me, who was a nobody, becoming the Tokushima Prefecture representative.”
Yamada has also posted a self-made video related to her activities.
