Chiaki Sato (Aoyama Rei): The Three “Nots” That Successful Business People Always Adopt

Today’s column delivers a blend of business coaching theory and astrological commentary, focusing on three things that truly successful entrepreneurs absolutely avoid.

To give you the answers up front, they are:
* Not quitting immediately.
* Not engaging in unnecessary relationships.
* Not thinking within the boundaries of common sense.
How do these resonate with you? Some may find them perfectly clear, while others might not quite grasp the point. Let’s briefly explain each one.

1. Not Quitting Immediately
In almost any business, true success is rarely achieved in six months or even a year. People who start with great enthusiasm but quickly give up when short-term results are lacking, or who constantly pivot to a different venture, will never attain success. The perseverance to set one direction and continue with steady effort and progress, even when visible results are slow to appear, is the indispensable talent required for success.
From an astrological perspective, it is said that people are born with a strong connection to one of the “Fire, Earth, Air, or Water” elements. The initial quality of one’s fortune subtly varies depending on the dominant element—the universe’s principles are that uncompromising. Those who possess a great deal of the “Earth” energy are blessed with overwhelmingly strong and stable innate fortune compared to others. The strengths of “Earth” people are their receptive capacity to accept reality and, above all, their ability to sustain effort. It seems that acceptance and persistence are the most crucial keys to attracting material success while living as a human on this planet.
Furthermore, refusing to pursue material wealth and success is fundamentally abandoning the core mission of living as a human on Earth. The phrase “money is meaningless” may sound pure, but as I’ve written in a previous article, only those who have genuinely acquired what can be obtained with a “price” can truly speak of the “priceless.”
2. Not Engaging in Relationships That Drain Your Energy
Successful people never tolerate spending time complaining or wallowing in negativity with others—activities that essentially amount to stress relief for those who have failed to achieve success.
The iron rule is: If you want to be successful, associate with successful people.

The habit of bonding with people who lament, “I work so hard, but I can’t succeed,” indicates that your own frequency precisely matches theirs. If you are on the same frequency as people who cannot succeed, naturally, success will not come to you.
If you have not yet achieved success but desperately want to change your frequency, the best course of action is to forcibly share time and space with successful people initially, exposing yourself to their energy. Unless you are extremely stubborn, you will naturally gravitate toward the frequency of those with whom you share time and space.
3. Not Thinking Within the Boundaries of Common Sense
It stands to reason that thinking only within the limits of common sense will only generate “mediocre” ideas and result in “mediocre” outcomes. To achieve groundbreaking results, you must take on challenges that “no one else is doing.”

All successful people achieve unparalleled success through methods that are often considered “contrarian.” They set aside external criticism, break down all their pre-existing common sense, and explore every possible avenue. The key to success is often hidden in a place that “no one is paying attention to.”
Astrologically, one’s aptitude for contrarian thinking can be somewhat inferred by the position of Uranus in their birth chart. People with Uranus in the 1st or 2nd house naturally transcend conventional limits when establishing their identity or learning to earn a living “with their own hands.” They excel at conceiving ideas no one else has considered and achieving miraculous turnarounds through unconventional thinking. Individuals with Uranus in Sagittarius or Aquarius also tend to benefit from this influence. Conversely, those without this placement will need a considerable and conscious effort to overhaul their thought processes if they wish to break through the norm.
Astrology is simply the process of re-reading the “instruction manual” the universe provided when you first descended to Earth. I believe that an astrologer’s role is to help people navigate this process efficiently. I genuinely believe that instead of one smartphone per person, perhaps it should be one personal astrologer per person (laughs).
However, to realize that vision, we still lack “genuine” astrologers. Therefore, I am now even more determined to accelerate my mission of not only conducting readings but also diligently training truly authentic astrologers.
