Actor and theater coach Yoko Natsukawa has announced the latest standings for the Top Artist Contest, a prestigious competition exclusively for performers aged 35 and older. As of February 10, Natsukawa currently holds 13th place among approximately 100 participants.
While this marks a slight drop of three positions since the previous update, Natsukawa remains undeterred. With the preliminary round continuing until February 28, she expressed a fierce determination to climb into the top seven to secure a spot in the finals.
THE POWER OF NINETY VOTES AND PUBLIC SUPPORT
Natsukawa shared a deeply personal reflection on her progress, noting that she has secured 90 individual votes to date. Because each person is permitted only one vote, this represents 90 distinct individuals who have chosen to back her artistry.
In a heartfelt statement, Natsukawa admitted that she does not have 90 close friends she could easily ask for such a favor. She attributes this milestone entirely to the organic support of her community, who have gone beyond voting to share her journey and advocate on her behalf. She described her gratitude as being beyond words, wishing she could find a physical way to manifest the depth of her appreciation.
A MULTIFACETED CHALLENGE IN ACTING AND MUSIC
Beyond her primary career as an actor and external coach for school theater departments, Natsukawa is also competing through a musical submission. Her entry video features a piano performance of My Favorite Foods by Erinne. Despite her modest claims that she is still learning the instrument, the video currently ranks 28th in total views.
Natsukawa’s current mission extends beyond her own success. As a coach, she aims to use her experience in this contest to inspire the next generation. She seeks to teach her students critical thinking, the habit of self-reflection, and the specialized skills required for English-language theater.
HOW TO SUPPORT YOKO NATSUKAWA
The road to the finals requires Natsukawa to reach the top seven in voting or achieve the highest number of YouTube views by the end of the month.
Supporters can cast their vote by registering with the Top Artist Contest official LINE account. Each person is allowed one vote for Entry Number 83, Yoko Natsukawa. The organization reminds voters to remain registered until the final results are announced to ensure their vote remains valid.
The preliminary round concludes on February 28, leaving two weeks for Natsukawa to make her final push toward the championship stage.
