On August 2, Haruka Matsuo, also known as “Princess Haruka,” a freelance announcer, graduated from Burlesque YAVAY in Roppongi.
Reflecting on her time there, Matsuo said, “It wasn’t just an experience; I was able to connect the dots of my life. Even a short period had meaning.”
Although she initially joined because she loved to dance, many customers praised her talent as an MC. This recognition led to a new goal: becoming a “world-class entertainer.”
She also shared that the YAVAY slogan, “Anything but ordinary! To The World!,” resonated with a philosophy she has held since childhood, making her feel that “the encounter with YAVAY was inevitable.” Matsuo also revealed that the club’s leader, Mahiro, encouraged her with the words, “Become even bigger and definitely come back as a guest!”
Going forward, she aims to be a “Chameleon Announcer,” capable of diverse expression through her choices of “wearing or not wearing clothes, using Japanese or English, and a wide vocal range.”
Her ultimate goal is to become a major MC, successful enough to be invited back to YAVAY as a guest.
