MINA (Mina Yamane), a registered dietitian and video editor based in Hiroshima, is launching a new community to support women in confidently engaging in online activities. This initiative stems from her own experience of overcoming extreme agoraphobia (social anxiety).
Moving Beyond a “Life of Self-Confinement” to Shine as Her True Self
Yamane shares that she once lived a self-limiting life, marked by extreme social anxiety, shyness, and an inability to show her face in SNS posts. However, having gone through motherhood, she became convinced that “living fully as her true self is also the key to her family’s happiness,” leading her to take this new step.
Yamane plans to leverage her expertise as a registered dietitian (with teaching experience) and her video editing skills. Her support will heavily focus on “building a solid mental foundation” for women to enjoy self-driven online activities.
Supporting Women Struggling with Online Presence
The community is being built as a “place where women can continue their self-driven online presence,” mainly for those who struggle with issues like “wanting to post on SNS but not knowing how” or “wanting to post easily without being exhausted by it.”
Yamane states, “Just like I was in the past, there are many women who should be stepping out and shining. I hope to be an aid to them,” aiming to support those who, like her former self, are hesitant to take the first step.
While her activities are primarily based in Hiroshima Prefecture, she is also considering supporting women nationwide and internationally through online platforms.
As the community is pre-launch, details will be sequentially announced on Yamane’s Instagram account (@hatonamon_mina).
